I tried to create a post with links and pictures describing a new hobby. I was too long and the forum timed me out. I have trouble with my fingers. The go numb and I cant type until they get the feeling back. I did not pay attention and lost everything I had posted. My new hobby is 3D printing, and I have bought two different ones. Here is the link to the two I have purchased. The third is a link to the most popular and most customizable.

Here are some places to get models to print
https://www.thingiverse.com/ This one is free and the safest.
https://cults3d.com/en This one charges for the better models and I was unable to register my debit card but had in hacked afterwords. Now I am waiting for a new card. I cannot prove that that is the source of the hack!
Here are some pictures of things I have printed. No explanation this time as to which printer and how.

I did forget to list a link where you can get some support. I am a member with my same name as here.
https://forum.makewithtech.com/
There is also another I know of and it is listed at bottom of page for Geeeteh. The only thing is is full of questions but lacking of answers, and some bad answers.
I am willing to answer any questions, either here or pm. If anyone already is doing 3D printing, let me know, I also have questions.

I discovered that I can take the prints I make and electroplate them, first with copper, then nickel, zinc, silver, gold, and chrome. I have been reading and getting a list of things I need to start first with copper.I am excited about this, just wish I could get it down pat for Christmas presents. I would really be proud of that.
https://www.thingiverse.com/ has a lot of Jewelry to choose from. But, to really hit the spot, so to speak would to be able to design and make a 3d model of something. There are three or more CAD programs that will save in the proper file format for Cura to read.

I have been busy printing chess pieces. I have three pictures of three different styles of chess pieces. I have given some sets away so I cannot show them.
!. This photo the red and black pieces were done one color and one piece at a time on one of my printers. The first one. It is a Geeetech A20T.

2. This photo the gold and silver set was printed on a JG MAKER Artist-D. It is an IDEX printer. That means it has 2 print heads that can work independent of each other. That way I printed a silver and gold piece together at the same time.

3. This set was printed all pieces at one time. They turned out fantastic. I have given a set of these away. I am so proud of them.

I am currently trying to print the individual squares that interlock to make a chess board. Unfortunately I did some calculations to make the squares the Chess Federation 2in squares and did not calculate the locking tabs and had to throw away what I had printed in gold and start over. The gold has the outward tabs and I did not calculate correctly. The silver has inward tabs and I did not know until I got the silver off the table.
